1990 to Present

Web Developer
Designed and programmed sites, using HTML, CSS, Flash/Actionscript 2, PHP and mySQL. Projects include:

  • Built Flash-based site which includes a non-flash version targeted to iPhone users. Data for both Flash and iPhone version come from a mySQL database, so the information only needs to be updated in one place. This includes using a PHP script to convert the data in a mySQL table into XML to be read into Flash (via ActionScript).
  • Built a PHP/mySQL based CMS system to allow the owner of the site to update their site's content themselves.
  • Built a PHP/mySQL based system for the online redemption of download codes for music files(someone purchases a code, goes to a specified URL and enters the code; if it's authenticated, they are given a time-limited link to download the purchased file).
  • Cleaned up and revised existing design on some sites.

Designed logos, business cards, online advertisements, brochures, newsletters, flyers and CD cover art for myself and various clients.

Produced and recorded two of my own CDs. Recorded a CD for The Anthem String Quartet and recorded one CD and did audio sweetening on another one for The O'Danny Girls. Produced and recorded demo recordings for myself and others. Live sound engineer for bands/performers, including The Pyrates Royale, Keltish, Darcy Nair, and The Prairie Rust Band.

Inventoried all hardware and software owned by the company and oversaw switching Internet Service providers, including changing the server and firewall appliance settings when the hired contractor was unsure how to do it.
